JESUS CAME THE FIRST TIME, HE IS COMING AGAIN

JESUS CAME THE FIRST TIME
HE IS COMING AGAIN

----

On Christmas Day so long ago
Jesus was born.
His Name JESUS means Y'SHUA
or  Salvation, Savior
The One Who Saves
The Deliverer.

Joshua and Jesus mean
the same in the Hebrew language.

Matthew 1.21  You shall call His
name JESUS, for He shall save
His people from their sins.

This is what the Angel told Joseph about
the Baby that was coming.

Think of it.
God stepped down from Eternity,
He who is Everlasting,
He who is not bound by time nor space,
to enter our world,
as a little Baby
totally human,
totally subject to our frail existence,
"boxed in"
by His human body.

From the moment He entered
Mary's womb,
Sent by the Father,
Produced of  the Spirit,
He was the HOLY ONE sent
from on High
He was the PROMISED ONE
the prophets declared would come.

HE IS COMING AGAIN.

This same Jesus is going to come
Hebrews 9.27,28
"And as it is appointed unto men
once to die,
and after this the judgment,
so Christ was once offered to bear
the sins of many,
and unto them that look for Him,
shall He appear the second time
without sin
unto salvation."

We should look for Him to come
expectantly.
We ought to be waiting, just as today
we wait for "Christmas to come"
we ought to be waiting for
HIS RETURN

He will come without warning.
He will come when we least expect it.
The Apostle Paul declared,
"I am now ready to be offered and the
time of my departure is at hand.  I have fought a
good fight, I have finished my course.  I have
kept the faith.  Henceforth
there is laid up for me a crown
of righteousness, which the righteous
Judge, shall give me at that day, and
not to me only, but to all them that love
His appearing.  2 Timothy 4.6 - 8

JESUS CAME, HE WILL COME AGAIN

JESUS CAME - HE WILL COME AGAIN

On Christmas Day so long ago,
the birth of a tiny Baby in
an obscure village
was God's supreme gift
to us.

Think of it.
God stepped down
into
the fabric of our lives,
He who is and always was, became subject to
human frailties,
He who is, and was not bound with time
nor space, became
"boxed in"
with a Life here on our earth,
Dwelling among us,
meeting
the
presence of evil
He experienced every temptation
that mankind has ever had.

Being fully man,
He was still fully God.
This Christmas season,
I challenge you to search out
and discover
just
how much
JESUS (Y'SHUA)
IS ABLE TO OVERCOME
AND DELIVER YOU
FROM ANY TEMPTATION,
FROM ANY DIFFICULTY,
AND TO
GIVE YOU PEACE
IN THE MIDST
OF A TROUBLED WORLD.

John 14.27
"PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU,
MY PEACE I GIVE TO YOU,
NOT AS THE WORLD GIVES,
DO I GIVE TO YOU. LET
NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED,
NEITHER
LET IT BE AFRAID."

He came the first time
to be our Passover Lamb,
and to become our Kinsman-Redeemer.
He is coming again
a Second Time

Hebrews 9.27,28
Just as man is destined to die once,
and after that the judgment,
so Christ was sacrificed once to take away
the sins of many people,
and He will appear a second time,
not to bear sin, but to
bring salvation to those
who are waiting for Him to come."

LOOKING ALWAYS WATCHING

ALL AUTHORITY IS GIVEN TO ME IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH.  GO YE THEREFORE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE WHATSOEVER I HAVE COMMANDED YOU; AND LO ! I AM WITH YOU ALWAY, EVEN TO THE END OF THE AGE.  AMEN.  Matthew 28.18 - 20
In the book of Acts, Luke tells us "until the day when he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Spirit had given commandment to the apostles whom he had chosen, to whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days and speaking of the things pertaining
to the kingdom of God: and being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which he said, you have heard
of me.
For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days hence.  When they therefore were come together, they asked him, saying, Lord, will you at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?    And he said to them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in his own power.    But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you, and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth.
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up and a cloud received him out of their sight.
And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold two men stood by them, in white apparel:  Who said, You men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?  This same Jesus, which is taken up from you shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into heaven.
                                     Acts 1. 2 - 11

In the book of Revelation, Jesus told John to write the words into a book, for us to read and remember what He said to do.
"And the Spirit and the Bride say Come and let him that hears, say Come.   And let him that is thirsty, Come.   And Whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely.  ....Surely I come quickly.  Amen.  Even so come, Lord Jesus."    Rev. 22.17, and 22.20.
And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment, so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.   Hebrews 9.27
Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ have the privilege of looking for Jesus to return, to come and take us home.
Paul's prayer in I Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 23 is this:

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
                         I
Looking for Jesus to come, we know that we are to continue living for Him, and looking to Him for our strength and help.   Paul wrote to Timothy that "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but to all them also that love his appearing.

THIS SAME BABY THAT CAME TO BE BORN IN A MANGER IN BETHLEHEM WILL COME AGAIN EVEN
AS HE PROMISED.

are you ready ?

I am.
My aim
is to glorify
God in my life
by abiding in Christ
walking in the Spirit,
knowing my Father in Heaven
is watching over me
while I go about living,
loving others.
I will look
for Him to come soon.

WATCHING, LOOKING, READY

WATCHING,
LOOKING
READY!

John 14.1 - 3
Jesus was giving His disciples
something to hold on to.
He knew what lay ahead.
He had been telling them,
They were not focusing on His coming
again,
They could not bring themselves to
any further than
"I am going away"

LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED;
NEITHER LET IT BE AFRAID,
YOU BELIEVE IN GOD,
BELIEVE ALSO IN ME.
IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE ARE MANY
MANSIONS, IF IT WERE NOT SO,
I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU.
I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE
FOR YOU,.
AND IF I GO AND PREPARE A
PLACE FOR YOU,
I WILL COME AGAIN,
AND RECEIVE YOU
TO MYSELF,
THAT WHERE I AM,
YOU MAY BE ALSO.
John 14.1 -  3

We are to watch
to look !
to be ready !
He is coming !
He will keep His Promise !

Marriage in the Jewish culture was
a picture that Jesus was here describing.
Even as a man and woman were
BETROTHED
and
PROMISED
Legally they were Man and Wife.

The Bridegroom would then
tell his Bride, I am going to my Father's house,
and will get ready a place for you,
Than, he would leave.
While she waited for him to return,
she got ready everything she needed
to GO WITH THE BRIDEGROOM upon
his return.
While she waited for him,
the Bridegroom was at the Father's house,
making a "place" ready for his Bride.

One day, the Father would say,
You have done enough.  It is ready.
Go get your Bride.

So, in a Jewish marriage,
The Bridegroom would then
go UN-ANNOUNCED
to get the Bride.

Taking her to His Father's House,
they would consummate the
marriage,
and then,
everyone would attend
the
WEDDING BREAKFAST.

We are waiting for Jesus to come.
We are watching for Y'shua to return
UN-ANNOUNCED
To come take the Bride Home
to the Father's House.

COUNT ON IT !
IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN SOON !
OUR TASK IS TO BE READY !
READY ! for  His  Return !

HE IS AT HAND

The Time is coming when everyone will be caught by surprise, except for those who know our dear Lord Jesus Christ promised that He would RETURN AGAIN to take us home to Himself.   John 14.1 - 3 is very clear.   The Shofar trumpet will call us Home, and in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, we will be caught up together with those who died before us to meet in the skies.
He is at hand.   In the Greek the word means  "about to appear"
Let us advance then, knowing He is coming.   The signs of decay, of immorality, of unrestrained desires, of wars, famines, floods, and people talking of peace where there is no peace.    Let us live as Children of Light bearing the light into the dark places on this old earth, and know that God will triumph in every way as we do, for He is with us.   We are to punch holes in the darkness, and let light shine through.
Whatever our circumstances,  God will sustain us.  Psalm 55.22 tells us "Cast all your burdens upon the Lord, for He shall sustain thee.  He will never allow the righteous person to be moved."   What He is saying here is that the one who is depending on God for Righteous standing will not be shaken off their foundation.
We are to be ready for His Coming.    We are to live in the light of His coming.   This means that we will be busy walking with God in the every day common things, letting others know by our life style and our attitude, that we are not shaken by all the decay and rot in the world around us that we see.  Instead, we try to do things that edify and build people up, to help others, to encourage others, to find ways to bring hope.
        He is Coming.

JOHN 14.1 - 3  LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED, YOU BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE ALSO IN ME.  IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE ARE MANY MANSIONS.  IF IT WERE NOT SO, I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU.  I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU. AND IF I GO AND PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU, I WILL COME AGAIN AND RECEIVE YOU TO MYSELF THAT WHERE I AM THERE YOU MAY BE ALSO.
When Jesus told this to the Disciples, He knew that they needed comforting.   He took this time to explain that His relationship to them was like a Bridegroom leaving for His Father's House to prepare a place for His Bride.
You and I who believe that Jesus is our Lord and Savior have entered into that relationship.  Christ is the Bridegroom of the Church - the Called Out Ones - and we are the Bride, readying ourselves for His Soon Coming, and occupying our time doing His Will.
He promised us that He is coming.    Let us look for Him.   We are to fill our days with the quiet ever constancy of a loving heart of a Bride for Her Bridegroom.    We are to live knowing His Return is Certain, and it is Soon.
My love for Jesus grows day by day.   He who said "I AM" is YHWH, or, Yahweh, the One WHO IS.   Let us rejoice that we have His dear Spirit to guide and direct us as we Look for His Soon Return.
